fear the plot bunnies

Good grief, I should post!

Lamest writer blog ever, I know.

Writing: currently pounding away at 'Tengri Intrigue', which desperately needs a real title. It's a complicated fantasy/modern fantasy novel set in a world a bit like our own, with superheroes and elves and Tengri (sorta like drow elves) and demons and my character Margaret, an 85 year old woman reluctantly dragged into international and interworld politics by the seat of the dark magic put in her forty years ago by a dying Tengri wizard.

It's currently at about 75K words, as usual I write long.

Publishing: I got edits back from BBA about 'Quittin' Time a week ago and they're in. I don't think the editor really read my email about it, but no doubt he will when he sits down to look at the changes. I had a couple of issues with his changes, which he appears not to have noticed.

I really, really must edit /complete 'Dragonlady and the Hell Knight' so I can start shopping for agents for it. I suppose the first three chapters is probably as good as it's going to get and I can just start now. But that's scary. Hrm.

Yah, I know, suck it up and learn to write query letters.

Plot Bunnies: I had one last night, for the Torquere menage Christmas line. It's another blue collar fest!
Joan is a new chemist at a small pharmaceutical company out in the middle of nowhere. She's hot, and she doesn't seem to be noticing the guys watching her. It's near Christmas, and she's new in town without a friend to her name.

Sandy works in the warehouse. He likes her, even though the other guys tell him she's way the Hell out of his league. In addition, they think he should leave the chicks for the straight guys. They don't bug him about Leo, his lover and roommate, but that might be because of his physique, not to mention Leo's reputation as a bar fighter.

Leo is gay, always has been and doesn't think Sandy ought to be chasing girls. Sure, they have an open relationship, but he's never pictured finding a girl under his christmas tree.

Heh. I have dialogue and situations and all kinds of things already. ...MUST HAVE DISCIPLINE...MUST KEEP ON TRACK.
